Innovation of the laboratory exercises for course Embedded Systems
Pončák, Matej ; Macho, Tomáš (referee) ; Petyovský, Petr (advisor)
The constant market development of the embedded systems requires an adaptation to this fact. Raspberry Pi has released the Raspberry Pi Pico development board with a 32-bit microcontroller ARM Cortex-M0+, which has the potential to use the board as an innovation in teaching embedded systems. The thesis describes this board and its properties, the course Embedded Systems and the possibilities of its innovation, and then describes the proposed HW platform and demonstrates. The creation of new laboratory assignments is also part of this thesis.
Design of a laboratory exercise with frequency hops
Novák, David ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
Novák, D. Brno: Department of Telecommunications, The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Brno University of Technology, 2008, Design of a laboratory exercise with frequency hops. Bachelor’s thesis, supervisor: Doc. Ing. Vladislav Škorpil, CSc., 35 pages. Bachelor’s thesis consider about Design of a laboratory exercise with frequency hops. Theoretical part treat about technology of frequency hops. Below about types, properties, method about transfer and practical use of this technology. This event is maked from information acquired from practical part and from literature. Practical part serves such as extended manual to laboratory exercises into simulator system Emona TIMS. Exercises are concerned about measuring connection establishment between transmitter and receiver technology of frequency hops, speed and quality connection. Accent is set to detailed explanation objectives measuring. Bachelor’s thesis is complemented about measured out findings, these measurements.
Laboratory exercises explaining network technologies using various simulation instruments
Vaľuš, Dávid ; Ilgner, Petr (referee) ; Bečková, Zuzana (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the preparation of an operating system, a simulation environment and the creation of two laboratory exercises explaining network technologies. In the theoretical part protocols DHCP, FTP, TFTP, HTTP, and NAT service are described. The practical part focuses on the installation of ns-3 and GNS3 programmes and their utilization and settings on OS Ubuntu 18.10. Moreover, it deals with the preparation of laboratory exercises created in the simulation programmes mentioned above together with tutorials, self-check questions and HTTP server in the Python programming language.
Laboratory exercises using the LabView measuring system
Labaj, Radek ; Kohoutek, Michal (referee) ; Rampl, Ivan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis discusses basic types of mechanical value sensors, namely the Induction position sensor type LVDT. Its properties and the principle of operation are explained on the laboratory preparation. It contains a proposal and elaboration of laboratory exercises using LabVIEW development programming environment and laboratory preparation.

Distance practical teaching and learning
Zdobinská, Helena ; Janštová, Vanda (advisor) ; Jedličková, Tereza (referee)
This diploma thesis describes practical activities and related topics during forced distant education due to COVID-19 pandemic. In the theoretical part of thesis, the distant education is defined. I also described some of its features, which includes absence of physical contact, use of communication platforms, synchrony and asynchrony form of lesson, need for some degree of independence and digital competence. Anonymous questionnaires were made to collect the data from students and their science subjects' teachers (biology, chemistry, and physics). The questions were with free answers, closed answers with choices or scale values. Respondents consisted of 543 students and 24 teachers from Prague and Central Bohemian Region. The answers were categorized and frequencies calculated. The values of numeric answers such as mean, median, minimum and maximum were measured. The relationship between data was analysed by Pearson's chi squared test of independence. This study shows that teachers used practical activities such as experiments, observation or creating something less in distance lessons, compared to their face to face lessons. On the contrary tasks based on text work were used more often. The analysis showed that students preferred tasks containing creating something. Most teachers taught in both...

Food in Chemistry for Chemical Education
Strnadová, Hana ; Šulcová, Renata (advisor) ; Teplá, Milada (referee)
Charles University in Prague - Faculty of Science Department of Teaching and Didactics of Chemistry Albertov 3, 128 40 Praha 2, Czech Republic Food in Chemistry for Chemical Education Bc. Hana Strnadová hanka.str@centrum.cz This final thesis is about using food themes in teaching chemistry at secondary level education. At first there is a brief background research made on the base of several issues focused on food chemistry. Then the conception of chemistry curricula in the Czech educational system is compared with the conception in the Slovenian educational system and the posibilities of registering the questions of food into the chemistry tuition in both countries are evaluated. Approximate analysis of several contemporary Czech and Slovenian chemistry student's textbooks for secondary schools summarises representation of this subject matter. The parts of this final work are methodically processed materials to support the experimental teaching at grammar schools.
